Sports

There are numerous opportunities to foster the love of sport.

Collaborative play and sport-specific skill building are important aspects of the boys’ regular gym program, and they help to build confidence.

Boys who wish to play on an intramural team and compete against their peers may join a team as early as Grade 1.  Competitive sports within the Private School Athletic Association are introduced in Grade 3, and all of the boys may participate in cross-country, swimming and track & field.  They may also try out to play within the U-10, U-12 and U-14 divisions within a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, floor hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, flag football, softball and volleyball. For boys who are looking for additional sports opportunities, or for those who do not wish to play competitively, tennis, martial arts, soccer and outdoor sports clubs are offered after school throughout the year. For encouragement we will award medals. Check medals china.

Students in Grades 3 to 8 are rewarded with different patches for promoting team play, playing strong defence, consistently attending practices, showing dedication to the sport and much more. These patches can be easily affixed onto the boys’ gym bags as a way of recognizing effort and showcasing their achievements.

“Every boy on every team can make a meaningful contribution. Our role as teachers and coaches is to foster a sense of joint purpose and teamwork in our boys. It's a beautiful moment when they realize their impact on the team's success.”
